Moreno argued that politicians imposed lockdowns, vaccine mandates, school closures, and other restrictions because they followed Fauci’s guidance, calling him a “megalomaniac” who was “more interested in having met a Kardashian than the suffering of the American people.”
Fauci Pleads Fifth Amendment to Avoid Senate Questions on COVID Pandemic
Dr. Anthony Fauci declined to answer questions on the COVID pandemic at a Senate hearing on Wednesday, invoking the Fifth Amendment and thereby claiming his right against self-incrimination.
“Given Senator Paul’s obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me, and recently his publicly releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me,” maintained Fauci, “the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this Committee is to get me to say something that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars.'”
Fauci’s diaries suggest he misled the public on the fatality rate of COVID-19 and knew scientists believed the coronavirus outbreak was the result of a lab leak in Wuhan, China, instead of the “wet market” theory of the virus’s origin.
Fauci Diary Shows He Lied to the Public About Coronavirus Fatality Rate
Anthony Fauci publicly lied about the coronavirus’s fatality rate, initially telling the public it was 2 to 2.5 percent but privately recording in his diary that it was “more like 0.2-0.3%.”
In a February 2020 entry, Fauci recorded the number of cases as well as his many media appearances. He also surmised that the mortality rate of the virus was “more like 0.2-0.3 % rather than 2.0%.”
The entry reads:
Tom Frieden called me this AM and we discussed various aspects of the outbreak. He and I are on the same page in thinking tht [sic] this is acting like a bad influenza in its transmissibility and that the denominator is much greater than 34,867 (above) making the case fatality rate (CFR) more like 0.2-0.3 % rather than 2.0%.
However, that is not what Fauci was saying publicly around that time.

Democrat compares ICE to ‘domestic terrorists’
Rep. Luz Rivas, D-Calif., said that seeing ICE’s actions was personal for her as the daughter of Mexican immigrants and argued that “for the people of the United States, we don’t want to see our government, or ICE officials, acting like domestic terrorists,” she said in Spanish during a press conference.
She said her Los Angeles district saw more ICE raids than anywhere else in her county.
But it’s that kind of rhetoric that Republicans have argued is responsible for sending tensions across the U.S. skyrocketing.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in response to Rivas’ comments, “Attacks and demonization of ICE law enforcement are wrong. Because of smears like this our ICE officers are now facing a 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest murderers, rapists, pedophiles, gang members, and terrorists. ICE law enforcement is arresting criminals and saving countless American lives.”“Rep. Luz Rivas should be thanking our law enforcement for removing these dangerous criminals from her state NOT vilifying law enforcement,” the spokesperson said.
New Jersey Refuses To Cooperate With Feds After Registering Thousands Of Noncitizens To Vote
On Tuesday, Democratic New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill said she would not cooperate with the Trump administration, which she accused of “weaponizing” such records. Sherrill revealed last week that the state’s Motor Vehicle Commission registered thousands of non-citizens to vote in an apparent error.
“As I have said, I’m not in the habit of turning over private identifying information of the citizens of New Jersey,” Sherrill said. “This federal government is weaponizing the government against individuals that disagree with them.”
“They weaponized my private data against me and my election and so I am working to protect people and their private data here in New Jersey,” she added.
The Trump administration sued New Jersey in February for its “failure to produce their full voter registration lists upon request.”
In light of the latest revelation, the Justice Department sent a letter to Sherrill requesting the names, dates of birth, nationalities, addresses, and registration dates and locations for the 6,600 non-citizens.
Citing a “preliminary analysis,” Sherrill said that fewer than 400 of the non-citizens who were placed on the state’s voter rolls actually cast ballots. The Justice Department asked the governor to share when and where those non-citizens voted.
Sherrill responded that New Jersey would not comply with the request, which she said had “no legal basis.”
