Trump gets rid of Biden’s Title IX Rules, Now Defines Sex by Biology
Trump’s Department of Education said Monday it will formally remove the Biden administration’s Title IX regulations and restore rules issued during President Donald Trump’s first term.
The department said the last lawsuits over the Biden rules were dismissed in August, clearing the way for it to formally remove them.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon said the move would make the written regulations match the court rulings and the rules her department has been enforcing since Trump returned to office:
“Today’s rulemaking clears the Biden Administration’s illegal rewrite of Title IX from the Code of Federal Regulations and restores the commonsense language promulgated in the first Trump Administration, which we have been enforcing since the first days of the Administration. Thanks to today’s action, the published Title IX regulations faithfully reflects court orders and Congressional intent—reducing confusion for parents, students, and educational institutions. We will continue to relentlessly champion equal opportunity for all Americans and hold accountable any school or college that violates the rights, privacy, or athletic opportunities of our women and girls.”
The rule follows a 2025 executive order from Trump directing federal agencies to recognize only male and female as sexes and apply that definition when enforcing laws against sex discrimination.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin said a new migrant caravan headed to the U.S. from Honduras has “zero chance” of making it to the United States’ southern border.
After more than a week of walking north from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, a migrant caravan has grown from an estimated 300 strong to nearly 600 after entering the Mexican border state of Chiapas. The caravan that departed southern Mexico on Sunday hopes to reach the United States, despite no organized caravan having done so since the end of the Biden border crisis.
Jack Smith’s Office Bent Its Own Rules to Rush Software Purchase Days Before Indicting Trump
Former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office bent its own purchasing rules to acquire forensic video software days before its indictment of President Donald Trump regarding the 2020 election, according to Justice Department records released by the Oversight Project.
The documents, obtained through the Oversight Project’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, land before Smith testifies Tuesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee concerning his lawfare against Trump. They raise new questions about whether his office followed appropriate legal and ethical standards and what video Smith needed so urgently.
The records show that on June 26, 2023, Smith’s Litigation Support asked Axon Investigate, a component of Axon Enterprises, for its services “for converting all types of video and audio files including lots of proprietary types we receive.”
The “proprietary” video or videos and audio Smith sought have never been identified. But law enforcement officials showed little restraint in their lawfare of Trump.
Most notoriously, FBI agents raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in August 2022, even ransacking Melania Trump’s wardrobe, acquiring surveillance footage.
The opaqueness of Smith’s lawfare is striking, even years later. Smith’s work with Axon is no exception.
Pope Leo Urges Europe to Remember and Embrace Its Christian Heritage
Pope Leo XIV urged Europe to remember its Christian heritage and embrace it in a speech delivered in France’s northeastern city of Metz on Monday as he wound up the fourth and final day of his visit.
“One cannot speak of Europe without mentioning Christianity,” he said, nodding to historians who record the faith has been present in Europe for nearly 2,000 years, arriving in the 1st century AD.
The pontiff praised European integration, adding working alongside others is a “social and political necessity” and urging E.U. leaders to give “real substance” to words such as freedom, democracy and unity.
Speaking to Jewish, Muslim, Protestant and Orthodox leaders gathered before him, France24 records the U.S.-born pope enthused over Europe.
“Europe has flourished and progressed when it has been able to draw on the best aspects of its past and reinvent them in new and creative ways through encounters with others,” the pope said.
DOJ Launches New Crackdown To Protect The American Vote
The Justice Department took action against a slew of foreign nationals accused of lying about their citizenship to vote in federal elections.
Nine foreign nationals, including multiple illegal immigrants, were charged with election-related crimes while two others pleaded guilty on similar charges, the Justice Department announced Monday. The department additionally hit a United States Postal Service employee with charges for destroying hundreds of mail-in ballots.
“Despite the media and Democrats denying it for decades, non-citizens continue to register and vote in federal elections,” White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis told The Daily Wire. “Our message to aliens who vote in American elections is clear: we will find you, arrest you, and you will face the consequences including deportation. Only Americans should be electing America’s leaders.”
The action comes as President Donald Trump has pushed the Senate to pass the SAVE Act, legislation that would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections. Trump has long warned that not enough safeguards are in place to ensure that foreign nationals aren’t influencing American elections.
Actress Says She’s Upset Her Son Didn’t Turn Out Gay After Dressing Him In Drag
Actress Camryn Manheim said she was disappointed that her son didn’t turn out to be gay.
The Emmy Award-winning “Law & Order” star said as much during her speech at the 2026 Human Rights Campaign National Dinner on Sunday.
“I always wanted a gay son. I did. I love that relationship between gay sons and their mothers,” Manheim said while presenting the Ally for Equality award to Marcia Gay Harden. “I want to be the picket sign holding mom who would beat the sh*t out of somebody for her kid.”
She continued, “I mean, let’s just admit it, gay sons are the best, right? I have photographs of my son in high heels, in full drag. He knows every word to every musical ever written … I mean truly, I thought I had this f*cking thing locked up! But no, no, he’s the only straight guy in his entire musical theater company.”
Manheim recalled the time when Harden told her that her son was gay. The actress said her reaction was, “Oh my God, you are so f*cking lucky.” She said she got jealous when Harden’s son ordered “kinky” red leather boots from Amazon a week later.
Manheim is a single mother to actor Milo Manheim, who is 25. His father is her gay friend, actor and model Jeffrey Brezovar.
Harden, meanwhile, has three children who all identify as “queer,” which she publicized during a 2023 telethon while raising money for LGBT causes.
“My children are all queer,” the actress said at the time. “My eldest child is non-binary. My son is gay. My youngest is fluid. And you know, they are my kids, and they teach me every day.”
