Massive Trump win: U.S. Economy Added 162,000 Jobs in August

HUGE Trump win! The U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs in August and the unemployment rate held steady at 4.1 percent.

The private sector added 127,000 jobs in August, far more than the 53,000 expected. The prior month’s gain of 30,000 was revised up to 71,000.

Manufacturing payrolls rose by 16,000, above the 5,000 estimated. The July estimate was revised up from a gain of 5,000 to a gain of 14,000. Durable goods added 15,000 jobs in August after adding 24,000 in July and 13,000 in June.

In just over a year, the foreign-born population in the United States has

declined by 2.9 million amid President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration, according to Census Bureau numbers reviewed by the Center for Immigration Studies

An analysis of the numbers by the CIS adds that the population of illegal migrants has declined by an “unprecedented” amount.

“Since January 2025 when President Trump took office the government’s monthly household survey, officially called the Current Population Survey (CPS), shows an unprecedented 2.9 million decline in the foreign-born population naturalized citizens, lawful permanent residents, long-term temporary visitors, and illegal immigrants. We preliminarily estimate that the illegal immigrant population has fallen 2.3 million,” CIS writes.

But while the massive drop in the number of foreign-born residents is notable, it still is only a small portion of the estimated 8.3 million that were allowed into the country during the Joe Biden presidency. “We preliminarily estimate that the illegal immigrant population may have declined 2.3 million, from 15.8 million in January of 2025 to 13.5 million in July of 2026. The net change reflects new arrivals offset by deportations, voluntary emigration, legalizations, and natural mortality,” according to the report.

Rep. Randy Fine Explains Why He Calls U.S. Politicians Who Rhetorically Support Hamas ‘Terrorists’

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) doubled down on calling U.S. politicians like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani “terrorists,” and said nonviolent actors who support Hamas and refuse to condemn their actions are “just as bad.”

Marlow asked: “Do you find when you call people who are not necessarily violent people terrorists and things like that, as you’ve done, do you feel like that is similar to the way people like me like my whole life I was called a Nazi even though we’re a pro-Israel website, just because I have conservative viewpoints? Where does that differ?”

“Fantastic question. The people who run Hamas, they sit in Qatar or Turkey. They’re not blowing themselves up. They’re not killing anyone. Are they terrorists? Absolutely, they are. So you don’t have to be with the gun in your hand to be the terrorist. The people who support, rhetorically, the person sitting in Qatar and Turkey who runs Hamas they’re just as bad. And so I think if you support, verbally, terrorism, it makes you a terrorist,” Fine explained.

“I don’t think anyone would disagree that the people who run Hamas sitting in gilded buildings, eating five-star meals, swimming in swimming pools, sleeping in silk-covered beds no one has an issue calling them terrorists, but that’s exactly what they are,” he continued.

Marlow asked Fine if that line of thinking extends to American politicians who are “not sufficiently anti-Hamas, but are not necessarily pro-violence against other Americans” and referred specifically to politicians like Mamdani and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

“Mamdani supports Hamas. Mamdani supports Hezbollah. Mamdani won’t condemn globalize the intifada.’ Mamdani is clearly a terrorist,” Fine alleged. “There’s no question of that. Mamdani allows his city to be overrun with people who stab Jews walking down the street. Mamdani’s wife openly supported October 7th. I mean, what do you have to do to be a terrorist? He is one.”

Lindsay Clancy Trial Ends In Mistrial After Defense’s Hail Mary Attempt

Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial Friday in the triple-murder trial of Lindsay Clancy after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict and after an unprecedented move from Clancy’s defense.

The nine-woman, three-man jury told Sullivan for the third time that they were deadlocked and unable to reach a unanimous decision after around 38 hours of deliberations.

“With a heavy heart we report we cannot come to a unanimous decision,” the jurors wrote in a note.

Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington then made a last-ditch effort before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court after the judge prepared to declare a mistrial. Sullivan gave Reddington one hour to file an emergency stay before bringing the jury back into the courtroom to officially declare a mistrial.

Trump administration proposes stripping tax-exempt status from schools using race-based programs

The Trump administration proposed new regulations on Thursday to revoke the tax-exempt status of private schools and colleges if ​they use race in admissions, scholarships or other school-administered programs, the latest effort by the federal government to root out diversity initiatives in education.

The rules, proposed by the Treasury Department ‌and Internal Revenue Service, aim to end what administration officials argue is discrimination against white students in favor of students of color.

“Schools rebranding race-based preferences as equitable, inclusive, or diversity-enhancing does not change their discriminatory nature,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a ​statement.

Admissions, educational policies, scholarships and loans, athletics and “every other school-administered or ​school-supported program” would be covered by the Treasury’s proposal.

It would apply to any program that considers race, color, or national or ethnic origin “for any purpose,” including efforts to address past racial discrimination.

The ​Treasury estimated that the rules ​could impact as many ⁠as 18,000 schools at all education levels and 750,000 students who could be affected because they may qualify for race-based scholarships.

The proposal would not prevent private schools from having a ​religious mission, curriculum or program. Religious schools could continue to choose students ​based on religious ⁠affiliation, according to the Treasury.

Trump trade chief reveals what preceded Canada walking away from ‘best deal in the world’

President Donald Trump’s top trade advisor, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, said Canada walked away from the “best deal in the world” after the nation declined to finalize a trade agreement with the U.S. nearly two weeks ago.

Greer joined “Special Report” on Thursday to detail the negotiations that preceded the contentious trade fight between the U.S. and its northern neighbor.

“We offered them the best deal. They looked at it square in the face and turned around,” he said

The trade chief said that although Trump’s trade program already gives Canada “the best deal,” U.S. officials were willing to negotiate after Canadian authorities approached the administration seeking a revised agreement.

“I told them what we could deliver. I said, ‘We could try to give you the best deal in the world on steel, aluminum, autos and help you out on lumber,’” Greer told Fox News. “These are things very sensitive for the Canadians, and we managed to move the levers of our government to give them that deal.”

After Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reached the handshake agreement, Canadian officials returned to Ottawa. Greer said he remains unsure what transpired there that ultimately prompted Canada to renege on the deal and seek additional concessions.

“When they came back, they wanted more, they wanted more tariff relief. It wasn’t good enough to have the best deal in the world,” he told Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier. “They wanted it to be even better… These are things we couldn’t accommodate.”
