Mainstream media and media pundits accused President Donald Trump of ruining America 250 and July 4 celebrations over the last week, even prior to nationwide celebrations.
A direct example came on Friday when The New York Times opinion writer Robin Givhan wrote her op-ed titled “Trump Ruined the Fourth of July for Me.”\

“But this year, I can barely tolerate the sight of red, white and blue,” Givhan wrote. “When combined into a maximalist display of nationalist cheerleading, the colors make my heart ache. The flags on federal buildings are grand, but they hang alongside banners featuring President Trump’s scowling face.”
Ridiculous! What do you say?

Teachers Union Calls For Trump’s Removal, Reparations, And ICE ‘Red Cards’
The nation’s largest teachers union which is also the largest labor union in the United States has unveiled a wish list of new business items so far Left that even some of its own members might raise an eyebrow, including a formal push to oust President Donald Trump before the midterms, taxpayer-funded “reparations” initiatives, and a plan to hand out cards instructing members how to stonewall ICE agents.
Item 10 on the wish list, backed by 50 delegates out of California, calls on the National Education Association to demand Trump’s “impeachment, conviction, and removal” from office and to organize a mass march on Washington to force him out before November’s midterms, school choice advocate Corey A. DeAngelis reported on Sunday.
The rationale warns darkly of a “MAGA mob” staging another “coup attempt” if Republicans lose badly at the polls a hypothetical scenario used to justify a real-world call to remove a sitting president. The price tag on the wish list item is a jaw-dropping $5.2 million.
Leftists Plead with US Soccer Star to Reject Trump’s ‘Unfair Intervention,’ Refuse to Play in Pivotal World Cup Match

While U.S. Men’s National Team players and fans were rejoicing and celebrating after hearing that star scorer Folarin Balogun’s red card had been reversed after some intercession from President Trump, allowing him to play in Monday night’s crucial World Cup matchup against Belgium, another group of people was consumed with angst and lamenting how America would be perceived by the world.
While most Americans were overjoyed at the red card being suspended and an injustice being undone, certain leftist media members began lamenting not only the president’s intervention, but also how they perceived the world would now look at America and its role in the World Cup.
Self-described British-American journalist Mehdi Hasan went so far as to say he felt it would be the “right thing” for Balogun to reject Trump’s intervention. Presumably, by agreeing to abide by the fraudulently given red card and sitting out the game.
Bruce Springsteen Declares Himself a ‘Patriot’ for Trashing Trump: ‘I Believe in Critical Patriotism’
“I was very angry,” the 76-year-old rocker said of his new protest song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” which he wrote after the fatal shootings of ICE agitators Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and later performed at an anti-Trump “No Kings” rally.
“And usually, I write songs that have a lot of political implications, but very often are not directly political,” the “Born to Run” singer added.
Springsteen, who recently wrapped up his anti-Trump “Land of Hope and Dreams American” tour, went on to say that Rage Against the Machine guitarist told him “you gotta kick ’em in the teeth.”
“In this case, I wrote a protest song,” the “Glory Days” singer said. “I thought, ‘Gee, maybe this is a little broad,’ you know?”
Trump says he ‘immediately overturned’ decision to cancel July 4 festivities in DC
President Donald Trump said in a Sunday Truth Social post that he “overturned” a decision to cancel festivities in Washington, D.C., on Saturday due to weather.
“The Crowd at 7:05 in the evening was 422,000 people! All were forced to leave because of the weather, the event was cancelled, and everyone was gone because of lightning. When I heard that it was cancelled, I immediately overturned that decision, and waited a while for people to come back. Incredibly, at least 150,000 people returned, and it was an even more spectacular evening than it would have been as normalized! It showed work under pressure,” Trump declared in the post.
“Congratulations to the Secret Service and Law Enforcement on being able to get so many people back into the Arena in such rapid fashion! It was an amazing evening made even more spectacular by the fact that, immediately after the Great Fireworks ended, the rains came down, full blast!” he added.

"I would like to congratulate Freedom 250, a Great White House Commission, and Pyrotecnico, on producing the Most Spectacular Fireworks Show I have ever seen, and I’ve seen them all. Congratulations on a job well done!" Trump declared in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
Young Americans are falling in love with socialism
53% of likely voters aged 18 to 39 said they want a Democratic Socialist to win the 2028 presidential election. Even more alarming, 76% agreed that "major industries like health care, energy, and big tech should be nationalized to give more control and equity to the people."
Many young Americans certainly are struggling. Housing, healthcare, groceries and higher education are too expensive. Large corporations have benefited from cronyism, subsidies, bailouts, regulatory favoritism and special privileges. And for many voters under 40, the promise that hard work will lead to the American Dream feels increasingly hollow.
The answer to these problems is not socialism. The solution is to restore the conditions that make the American Dream possible.
That means increasing the supply of housing by removing unnecessary zoning restrictions, streamlining permitting rules, and stopping state and local governments from using regulations to make homebuilding slow, expensive and politically impossible.
It means cutting reckless government spending, reducing inflationary pressure, lowering energy costs, reforming higher education and ending policies that have increased tuition, housing and everyday expenses.
