Polling released Wednesday shows Trump is more admired by Republicans than former GOP White House incumbents Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln put together.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten made the revelation on the network showing just how much sway the Republican leader has over his party per the poll conducted by Elon University,
“This is a reality check for you. That is, Donald Trump is still the sun on which the planets of the GOP revolve around. You could see it quite well here,” Enten said.

Trump Tributes 13 Fallen Service members on Fifth Anniversary of Abbey Gate Bombing
President Donald Trump paid tribute to the 13 fallen service members killed in the Abbey Gate bombing five years ago on Wednesday during former President Joe Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal.
Trump took to Truth Social to commemorate the fallen and blast Biden:
Today, we honor the 13 brave American HEROES who were tragically killed five years ago by evil Jihadi terrorists in Kabul, Afghanistan. This catastrophe was a result of Sleepy Joe Biden’s totally botched Withdrawal from the Country, which left our wonderful Servicemen and women defenseless, and allowed the Taliban to free thousands of bloodthirsty terrorists and criminals held at Bagram Prison. Judge Denies Minnesota’s Demands For Texas To Extradite ICE Officer
A federal judge on Wednesday rejected Minnesota’s emergency attempt to force Texas to extradite an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent accused of shooting a Venezuelan man and lying about the incident, potentially clearing the way for the agent’s release from jail.
Christian Castro, 52, faces four counts of second-degree assault and one count of falsely reporting a crime in Minnesota over a January shooting during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis.
The judge denied Minnesota’s request for a temporary restraining order that would have prevented the Cameron County sheriff from releasing Castro and required Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to sign an extradition warrant allowing Minnesota authorities to take custody of him.
‘You Have To Take It Out’: Trump Vows To Ban Sharia Law
President Donald Trump said that he would “absolutely” prohibit Sharia law in the United States, joining a growing number of Republican lawmakers pushing measures aimed at preventing Islamic law from superseding American law.
“You do have pockets of it,” Trump told Glenn Beck, founder of Blaze Media. “You go to London, you go to Paris it’s almost like their second way of life. … I would absolutely prohibit the Sharia law thing. … You have to take it out.”
Several GOP lawmakers have similarly called for restrictions on the application of Sharia law in the United States.
House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN), who joined the Sharia Free America Caucus earlier this year, has said that “Sharia is completely incompatible with the American way of life and threatens the very fabric of our society.”
The debate over Sharia has also surfaced in the Michigan Senate race following renewed attention to comments Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed made as a 24-year-old medical student.
El-Sayed discussed his Islamic faith with The New York Times in 2009 while explaining his decision to use a Sharia-compliant mortgage, which was structured to avoid the payment of interest prohibited by Islamic law.
“Ultimately, the question is, when I die and I stand before God and go through everything I did in my life, I don’t want to say I did it the easy way instead of the Shariah-compliant way,” El-Sayed said. “Not because of fear but because of obligation.”
FDA Approves Pancreatic Cancer Drug That Nearly Doubled Survival In Trial
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Wednesday approved a groundbreaking new treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer that nearly doubled median survival in a clinical trial, marking what experts are calling one of the biggest advances against the deadly disease in decades.
The drug, daraxonrasib, which will be sold under the brand name Rasonque, is approved for metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma, the most common form of pancreatic cancer. Developed by Revolution Medicines, Rasonque is a once-daily pill designed to block RAS proteins that play a key role in driving tumor growth.
The FDA approved Rasonque for adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer who have already received at least one cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy, or who cannot undergo combination treatment. The approval came approximately 6.5 months ahead of the FDA’s goal date, following an expedited review.
“Today’s approval provides a critical new option for patients facing an extraordinarily difficult and historically hard-to-treat cancer. It is our fundamental duty to deliver more cures and meaningful treatments to patients as quickly as possible,” acting FDA Commissioner Kyle Diamantas said in a press release. “I am immensely proud of the dedicated FDA scientists whose fast, thorough review and relentless commitment made this groundbreaking milestone a reality.”
The decision was based on results from a trial that included 500 patients whose metastatic pancreatic cancer had progressed after previous treatment. Patients who received daraxonrasib had a median overall survival of 13.2 months, compared with 6.7 months for those who received standard chemotherapy.
The drug also significantly delayed disease progression. Patients taking Rasonque went about twice as long without their cancer getting worse compared with those receiving standard chemotherapy. The risk of death was reduced by 60% in the trial.
“It will be transformative in the way we treat pancreas cancer. It’s the biggest development we’ve had in pancreas cancer in decades,” Andrew Ko, a gastrointestinal cancer specialist at the University of California, told STAT. “I’m so thankful for this as an advance for our patients.”
Rachna Shroff, a pancreatic cancer specialist at the University of Arizona Cancer Center, described an emotional reaction to the trial results earlier this year.
“Having treated pancreatic cancer for 16 years, I actually started crying in the clinic,” Shroff said, according to STAT. “This is such an incredibly impactful study for our patients.”
