Good morning! Happy Friday!
We have some big news to get into today!
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday, renaming Lake Ontario Lake America amid trade tensions with Canada.
What are your honest thoughts on this?

“We’re going to be changing the name of Lake Ontario effective immediately to LakeAmerica. That’s going to take place right now as I sign the order,” Trump said.

Hillary Clinton apparently does not like that President Donald Trump, the man to whom she lost the 2016 presidential election, has renamed Lake Ontario.
In a social media post Thursday, Clinton had a simple message regarding the change, writing “It’s Lake Ontario.”
HAHAHA Trump is the ultimate troll!
Ron DeSantis Says Flock Cameras Are ‘Quickly’ Popping Up: We Don’t Want to ‘Become a Surveillance State’
DeSantis said Floridians are right to be “concerned” about the fast-paced emergence of Flock surveillance cameras in their communities at every turn, telling reporters it is “out of control” and that we “don’t want to have this become a surveillance state,” acknowledging the instances of abuse, like a “police officer using this to track” an ex-girlfriend.
Do you agree with Governor DeSantis?
“So I think these cameras, these license plate readers, I think it’s out of control,” DeSantis began during a press conference this week, acknowledging that Florida highway patrol have readers for “tolling by plate and things like that.”
“Now, I’ve never supported the automatic tickets being sent if you’re speeding. I think a human being has to do that, and so I’ve never I’ve never embraced that. But this was something that was kind of out there in that vein, and then with this whole Flock situation, it’s now being used… not for tolling by plate or things like that, but for actual criminal surveillance,” he said, noting this is done by local police departments.

He said he has asked for an overview of what is going on in state agencies and said he is “all about having law enforcement have tools to be able to hold criminals accountable.” However, he said people have a right to be concerned about Flock cameras at every turn.
“I think that’s important that we do that, and no one’s been stronger on law enforcement than me. But I don’t want to have this become a surveillance state. I don’t want there to be a situation and that’s why we wanted an AI bill of rights,” he said, explaining that this would have fallen under that category.
“Remember, we were pushing for that because the Flock is artificial intelligence, so whether it’s online with digital surveillance or whether it’s with cameras, at what point are we just going to be free to be not have to deal with any of that?” he asked, explaining that this needs to be “overhauled for sure.”
Obama-Appointed Judge Halts Trump’s Mail-In Voting Rules Again
A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked the U.S. Postal Service from enforcing its proper new requirements for mail-in voting for the November midterm elections.
Boston-based U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, blocked the Postal Service’s fresh rules just days after they were announced, issuing a 14-day temporary restraining order that halts mandatory compliance for the upcoming November 3 elections.
Days before Talwani’s ruling, the Supreme Court had handed the Trump administration a major procedural victory, lifting a previous injunction against the president’s executive order because the states had sued before final rules were issued.
The Department of Justice is expected to appeal Talwani’s ruling immediately, setting up yet another potential showdown before the U.S. Supreme Court.
The court battle stems from an executive order signed by President Donald Trump at the end of March aimed at tightening ballot integrity and preventing illegal noncitizen voting. The Postal Service published a rule mandating that states submit specific ballot envelope designs for federal approval, print unique trackable barcodes on envelopes, and upload sensitive voter information directly to a brand-new electronic clearinghouse portal.
MAHA Notches Another Win In America’s Cereal Aisle
The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement scored another win this week when global food company General Mills announced it has ditched dyes from its cereal, including Lucky Charms and Trix.
The company said on Wednesday that all of its cereals are now made without artificial colors and that 90% of its U.S. retail products have transitioned away from synthetic dyes. Other popular dye-free cereals from General Mills include Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Chex, Cocoa Puffs, Golden Grahams, Cookie Crisp, and Wheaties.
“As the leader in cereal, General Mills is focused on giving people what they are looking for from the brands they know and love,” General Mills’ president of cereal Bethany Quam said in a statement. She added that the company is “evolving with consumer needs while continuing to offer food that tastes great, delivers quality, and provides value.”
The MAHA movement has targeted synthetic dyes in popular foods, especially foods marketed toward children. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been at the helm of steering such changes, and many GOP-led states have gotten on board too.
Letitia James: Postal Service and POTUS Don’t Have Jurisdiction Over Elections
James said, “I and my Democratic attorneys general will continue to challenge this rule, because this rule will create nothing but chaos and confusion in the state of North Carolina. In less than 11 days, they will mail out ballots to individuals who are in the armed forces, as well as to citizens in these United States. And it’s critically important that individuals understand that the only reason why this rule was created is because individuals, particularly those in the White House, believe that they cannot run on their record and therefore they have to steal this election. This is nothing more than an attempt to suppress the right to vote. And I and my Democratic colleagues will fight this all the way to the United States Supreme Court.”
She added, “Let’s be clear, the United States Postal Service and the president of these United States does not have jurisdiction over the elections, it is states and it’s in the Constitution. And that’s why it’s critically important that individuals understand that states have the power and the duty and the responsibility to administer elections, not the president and definitely not the postal system.”
HAHAHAHA
Ayanna Pressley: ‘The Confederacy Is Still Alive and Well That’s All MAGA Is’
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) compared President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement to the Confederacy.
Pressley made the remarks Monday at Roxbury Community College in Boston while campaigning for Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) in his primary race against Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA).
“It is bigger than Trump,” Pressley said. “Because whenever we do the work of ousting the occupant of the Oval Office, the Confederacy is still alive and well. That’s all MAGA is.”
“White supremacy is still alive and well,” she continued. “Anti-blackness will still be alive and well.”
