THE BIGGEST STORY TODAY: TRUMP LAUNCHES “THE MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER” AGAINST IRAN

This week, after Iran continued stalling on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, Trump announced what he called in his own words the “MOST CRUSHING ECONOMIC OPERATION EVER TAKEN AGAINST ANY COUNTRY.”
Trump announced a massive new economic operation against Iran aimed at forcing the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz targeting oil smuggling networks, swap lines, cash transfers, exchange houses, ship registries, and front companies that help Tehran move money and energy despite existing sanctions.
Every lifeline Iran has been using to survive the blockade every workaround, every back channel, every shadow network is now being targeted simultaneously. This is not a warning. This is not a press release. This is the full weight of American economic power being brought to bear on a regime that has run out of chances.
Trump also widened the threat beyond Iran warning that any country that allows its banks, businesses, airports, or government bodies to provide Tehran with a lifeline would face “tremendous economic consequences” from the United States. “You know who you are,” he added.
You know who you are. Four words. Every nation with financial ties to Iran just got the message. Maximum pressure just went maximum plus.
CANADA DEAL: TRUMP PLAYS HARDBALL AND WINS AGAIN.
Here is the Canada story in plain English.
Trump threatened 50% tariffs on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods. Canada said it wouldn’t negotiate under threats. The midnight deadline arrived. And then at the last minute Canada came to the table.
Trump paused the 50% tariffs just before midnight Tuesday after announcing a deal with Canada. “We’ve come to a deal with Canada,” Trump told reporters Wednesday morning from the White House lawn.
Canada committed to removing what the Trump administration described as discriminatory trade practices against key US industries the very reason the tariffs were threatened in the first place.
This is the Trump playbook in action. Apply maximum pressure. Hold firm through the threats and the drama. Wait for the other side to blink. Then make the deal.
Canada blinked. There’s a deal. Keystone XL the pipeline Biden cancelled on day one is reportedly back on the table. American energy workers and Canadian trade are both about to benefit.
The establishment said tariffs never work, what are they saying now?
MISSOURI HOLDS THE LINE: REDISTRICTING WIN IN COURT
Great news from the Show-Me State that deserves more attention than it’s getting.
Upgrade here to help us Turn America Red:
A Missouri judge upheld the state’s pro-Republican 2026 congressional redistricting map striking down yet another Democrat lawsuit attempting to overturn it. This is the latest in a series of court victories protecting Republican-drawn maps across the country.
Between Missouri, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, and other states the redistricting battle is going Republican’s way in the courts consistently and decisively. Democrats have thrown lawsuit after lawsuit at these maps. Courts keep upholding them.
With 75 days until November 3rd, every seat locked in through redistricting is one fewer seat Republicans need to fight for. The map is getting better. The majority is getting safer.
PRIMARY RESULTS: THE SCORECARD
Tuesday’s primaries across Alaska, Wyoming, California, Pennsylvania, and Florida produced a mixed but overall positive picture for Republicans heading into November.
The wins:
Republican candidates won competitive primaries in key battleground districts setting up strong November matchups
The latest Republican primary win came in a state House race near Butler, Pennsylvania the very community where Trump survived an assassination attempt in 2024 and where he won big. Symbolically powerful. Practically important.
Pete Hegseth traveled to Iowa to campaign for Republican Zach Nunn showing the administration’s full commitment to holding the House seat in a competitive district
The honest picture: Trump’s endorsement record has been extraordinary this cycle but no record is perfect. The overall record remains the strongest of any president in the modern primary era by a wide margin.
The focus now: unity heading into November. Every Republican who won a primary this week needs the full weight of the party behind them. The House majority depends on it.
TRUMP TOURS THE WHITE HOUSE RENOVATION
Here’s a story that got buried under the Iran and Canada headlines but it’s worth knowing about.
President Trump took media on a tour of the White House renovation and repair project yesterday showing off progress on the restoration of America’s most historic building.
The renovations include structural repairs, modernization of facilities, and the much-discussed East Wing improvements. Trump was characteristically enthusiastic about the quality of the work and the project is reportedly on schedule and on budget.
When Donald Trump builds something, it gets built right. The White House will be better for it.
