The U.S.-brokered interim ceasefire with Iran is now over. President Donald Trump made the declaration Wednesday, telling reporters at the NATO defence summit in Ankara, Turkey: “These are evil, sick people,” before describing Tehran’s negotiators as scum and a cancer that needs to be excised.

A clearly angry Trump further added he didn’t “want to deal with them any more” after launching overnight strikes on the totalitarian Islamic republic after it attacked commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Asked specifically about the peace deal and the people negotiating for Iran, Trump said: “They’re a bunch of scum, if you want to know the truth.”

“We don’t like them, they’re evil people. They’re crazy and they’re not going to have a nuclear weapon.”

A Kuwaiti man who obtained a green card in the U.S. is being sent home after he called America “the enemy” and expressed support for terrorists.

Tareq Alkhudari entered the country on a non-immigrant student visa in 2014 to attend San Jose State University, a source familiar with the situation said. He gained lawful permanent resident status in November 2024, but is now in federal custody pending removal from the United States after Secretary of State Marco Rubio terminated his legal status.

In posts from his Instagram and Bluesky accounts, Alkhudari repeatedly expresses disdain for the United States and white people. In December 2025, he posted a cartoon of a brown-skinned individual preparing to set fire to the American-flag-cape draped over the shoulders of a woman dressed in red, white, and blue.

“The Trump administration will never allow foreigners who denigrate our great nation to abuse the hospitality of the United States and remain on American soil,” a State Department official shared.

“This foreign national wished harm on our president, referred to America as ‘the enemy,’ and voiced support for foreign terror organizations,” the official added. “Foreign nationals who echo propaganda from foreign adversaries while residing in the United States should expect to find themselves on a deportation flight. They must return home.”

Trump demands end to trade with key US ally, calls it a ‘wasted cause’

President Donald Trump threatened Wednesday to end U.S. trade with Spain after criticizing the NATO ally for refusing to commit to the alliance’s new defense spending target.

Speaking during the NATO summit, Trump repeatedly singled out Spain, calling the country a “wasted cause” and urging an end to trade with one of America’s European allies.

“Spain is a wasted cause,” Trump said. “We don’t want to do any trade business with Spain anymore, by the way.”

Trump argued Spain has benefited from the alliance while failing to contribute its fair share.

“They don’t participate, they don’t pay. I don’t want anything to do with Spain,” Trump said.

He later added, “I don’t want to do any more trade with him. All right? Take it immediately. Don’t even talk to them.”

Trump also predicted Spain would eventually seek to restore trade ties with the United States.

Trump says US will let Ukraine make Patriot missiles

Trump said Wednesday the U.S. will give Ukraine a license to manufacture Patriot air defense systems, a move that could mark a significant shift from supplying Kyiv with American-made weapons to helping Ukraine produce them itself.

Trump made the comments while meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as Kyiv continues to press Western allies for additional air defense capabilities to counter Russian missile and drone attacks.

Trump’s announcement comes as Patriot interceptors have become one of Ukraine’s most urgent military needs. The U.S.-made Patriot system is widely regarded as Ukraine’s most capable defense against Russian ballistic missile attacks and has played a central role in protecting Kyiv and other critical infrastructure.

Leftist California group pushes to add ‘Black English’ to schools’ multilingual education program

A group of radical left-wing groups in California are pushing for schools to add Black vernacular into a Golden State program that pushes multilingualism for kids.

Black Californians United for Early Care and Education (BlackECE) is a “collaborative partnership of organizations committed to advancing language justice for Black children in early childhood education.” Those groups include Californians Together, Catalyst California and Early Edge.

A co-founder of the umbrella group said she was teased a kid for “talking white” and doesn’t want Black children, like her son, to feel “shame” for the way they speak.

“The workgroup brings together BlackECE, Californians Together, Catalyst California, and Early Edge to challenge harmful language hierarchies and affirm Black English as a legitimate, rule-governed language rooted in Black history, culture, and community,” according to the coalition’s website.

BlackECE’s 10-point policy framework also includes reparations.

Ashley Williams, a co-founder of the BlackECE, spoke with PBS about the importance of the group’s work.

“I don’t want my son to walk into any room and feel like his voice is not valued or his perspective can’t be heard because he’s not saying it in one way or the other,” she told the outlet. “But with that comes a lot of shame and embarrassment because you’re being constantly corrected when you’re still in a moment when you’re just learning language.”
