Trump claims Minnesota fraud exceeds $19B

President Donald Trump on Saturday ripped Democratic leaders over the massive welfare and daycare fraud scandal in Minnesota, escalating his long-running feuds with Rep. Ilhan Omar, whom he called a “scammer,” and Gov. Tim Walz, whom he labeled either corrupt or incompetent.

“The Theft and Fraud in Minnesota is far greater than the 19 Billion Dollars originally projected,” Trump wrote in an early morning Truth Social post. “The Biden Administration knew this FRAUD was happening, and did absolutely nothing about it.”

Trump then zeroed in on Omar and Walz, whom he has clashed with repeatedly over the years.

"'Scammer' Ilhan Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia," Trump wrote.

"'Governor' Waltz [sic] is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT. Even a very low IQ person, of which there are many, should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!"

Dozens of people many of them Somali-born or Somali American have been prosecuted in Minnesota in recent years for alleged large-scale welfare fraud schemes involving food assistance and autism services. Federal prosecutors have alleged the schemes stole hundreds of millions of dollars from taxpayer-funded programs. Separate investigations have also examined alleged fraud in the state’s daycare system.

Top Kremlin official praises Trump’s push for peace in Ukraine as talks set to resume

A top Kremlin official praised President Donald Trump as an effective leader seeking peace in Ukraine, saying Moscow views renewed talks with Washington as productive.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council and a former president, said Trump is genuinely trying to end the war in Ukraine and wants to be remembered as a peacemaker.

“Trump wants to go down in history as a peacemaker and he is really trying,” Medvedev said in an interview with Reuters. “And that is why contacts with Americans have become much more productive.”

DeSantis Takes Action On Foreign Drivers: ‘English Only’

On Friday, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) announced the new measure, which is clearly being implemented as another safeguard for Florida residents.

Starting February 6, all tests statewide “will be administered exclusively in English,” the department said in a press release. “This change applies to all driver license classifications, including exams administered orally.”

Trump Issues Warning To Blue Cities: No Fed Help Unless You Say ‘Please’

President Donald Trump on Saturday drew a firm line for Democrat-led cities facing unrest: no federal help with protests or riots unless local leaders ask for it, and zero tolerance for attacks on federal property.

The statement follows unrest in blue cities opposing federal immigration enforcement, including events in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Eugene, Oregon, on Friday. Trump also pointed back to federal assistance during riots in Los Angeles at the end of the Biden administration in 2025.

Trump said he instructed Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem “that under no circumstances are we going to participate in various poorly run Democrat Cities with regard to their Protests and/or Riots unless, and until, they ask us for help.”

At the same time, he made clear that federal restraint would not apply to attacks on federal property. “We will, however, guard, and very powerfully so, any and all Federal Buildings that are being attacked by these highly paid Lunatics, Agitators, and Insurrectionists,” Trump wrote.

He further directed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol to respond forcefully in defending federal assets. “There will be no spitting in the faces of our Officers, there will be no punching or kicking the headlights of our cars, and there will be no rock or brick throwing at our vehicles, or at our Patriot Warriors,” Trump said, warning that those responsible would “suffer an equal, or more, consequence.”

Addressing the Eugene incident specifically, Trump wrote: “Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees. Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore!”

Trump said federal aid remains available under clear conditions. “If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested,” he wrote, adding that local leaders must first explicitly ask for assistance — and “use the word, ‘PLEASE.’”

The president also warned that attacks on federal property would be met with overwhelming force if necessary. “ICE, Border Patrol or, if necessary, our Military, will be extremely powerful and tough in the protection of our Federal Property,” Trump wrote. “We will not allow our Courthouses, Federal Buildings, or anything else under our protection, to be damaged in any way, shape, or form.”

Trump concluded by tying the posture directly to his electoral mandate, writing that he was elected on border control, national security, and “LAW AND ORDER — That’s what America wants, and that’s what America is getting!”

Detransitioner Awarded Millions In First Malpractice Verdict: ‘This Is How It All Ends’

On Friday, a young woman who had her healthy breasts removed at age 16 for supposed transgender “medical care” was awarded $2 million, marking the first successful detransitioner malpractice lawsuit in the nation.

Fox Varian’s psychologist and surgeon were held liable by a jury in Westchester, New York, according to independent reporter Benjamin Ryan, who attended the three-week trial.

Ryan suggested the case is just the beginning of detransitioner lawsuits he’s been following and that, ultimately, these sorts of results could discourage doctors from advising or performing these types of life-altering surgeries on minors.

‘Melania’ Humiliates Media, Exceeds Expectations with Best Documentary Box Office Opening in Decade

The far-left Deadline reports that Melania will close the weekend box office in third place with an $8 million opening, a “result that would mark the best start for a docu in the last decade.”

EntTelligence showed Melania presales overindexing in rural areas with populations under 500,000. Again, license fees plus marketing on this pic equals $75M, but Amazon can afford it, even though those figures don’t make sense for a traditional motion picture studio’s P&L. Are MAGA groups driving sales? Maybe, but that will be sussed out as the weekend goes on. Know this: This isn’t an Angel Studios release fueled by some semblance of fan sales or an Amazon Prime super-ticket.

U.N. Chief Guterres Pleads for Cash as ‘Financial Collapse’ Looms

The United Nations is going broke and needs member nations to stump up cash. Lots of it. That is the plea from Secretary-General António Guterres who fears the globalist body is at risk of “imminent financial collapse” due to member states not paying their fees.

Such is the financial drama unfolding at U.N. headquarters in Geneva, signs warning of the situation have reportedly been put up everywhere. In an almost desperate attempt to save cash, the escalators are regularly turned off and the heating turned down, the BBC reports.

Guterres sent a missive to all 193 member states outlining his fears and pleading they had to honor their mandatory payments or overhaul the organisation’s financial rules to avoid collapse.

It comes after the U.N.’s largest contributor, the U.S., refused to contribute to its regular and peacekeeping budgets and withdrew from several agencies it called a “waste of taxpayer dollars.”

“Decisions not to honour assessed contributions that finance a significant share of the approved regular budget have now been formally announced,” the secretary general said, without naming specific members.

He said the “integrity of the entire system” depended on states adhering to their obligation under the U.N. charter to pay their “assessed contributions” – adding that 77% of the total owed had been paid in 2025, leaving a record amount unpaid.
