Trump Extends Israel-Lebanon Ceasefire 3 Weeks After Landmark White House Talks

President Donald Trump announced a three-week extension of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon following his direct participation in historic White House peace talks, voicing optimism the diplomatic push could lead to a lasting agreement as he looks to host both nations’ leaders in Washington in the coming weeks.

Trump confirmed the extension after hosting senior Israeli and Lebanese representatives in the Oval Office, saying the United States will work with Lebanon “to help it protect itself from Hezbollah,” the Iranian-backed terrorist group at the center of the conflict, while formalizing an additional three weeks of ceasefire.

He characterized the talks as “a great meeting” with high-level officials from both sides and said the extension marks “the beginning of something very important” pointing to what he suggested could develop into broader regional progress alongside ongoing diplomacy.

The session marked the second round of U.S.-brokered talks, following an initial meeting on April 14 the first direct engagement between the sides in decades which led to a ten-day ceasefire agreement two days later.

Trump Threatens Britain With ‘Big Tariff’ Over London’s Bid to Keep Taxing American Tech Firms

President Trump warned the United Kingdom against trying to “make an easy buck” on American big tech firms with the digital services tax which nets Westminster almost a billion pounds a year.

The UK could be subjected to new tariffs if it doesn’t stop taxing American tech giants, U.S. President Donald Trump warned in Oval Office remarks late Thursday. President Trump said: “they better be careful. If they don’t drop the tax, we’ll probably put a big tariff on the UK.”

Keeping the tax on U.S. tech giants wouldn’t be worthwhile, Trump said, because “What we’ll do is we’ll reciprocate by putting something on that’s equal or greater than what they’re doing”.

The UK digital services tax imposes a two per cent levy on relevant activity of large digital companies active in the social media, internet search, and online marketplace spaces. The British government argues that these companies make significant profits from operating in the United Kingdom, but would do so without contributing to the social good of the country that creates the conditions for them to operate if some sort of tax wasn’t levied.

Judge Blocks Virginia from Certifying Results of Redistricting Referendum

A Virginia judge issued a ruling blocking Virginia from moving forward with certifying the results of a special election regarding a redistricting referendum that could possibly allow Democrats to gain four congressional seats.

Help me fight to turn America red here:

The judge explained that “the process underlying the referendum broke several state laws and that certifying the vote would harm” Republican lawmakers in the state, WTVR News reported.

“The Tazewell Court ruling does the following,” Tyler Englander, a Virginia state Capitol reporter for ABC8 News wrote in a post on X. “DECLARE that any and all votes for or against the proposed constitutional amendment in the April 21, 2026 special election are ineffective.”

“ENJOINS Defendants and their successors from certifying the results of the April 21, 2026 special election,” Englander added.

Trump Hints At Major 2020 Move If SPLC Found Guilty Of Fraud

President Donald Trump commented on the federal charges facing the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) early Friday morning, arguing that the leftist group’s potential fraud “is another Democrat Hoax” that places the 2020 election results into doubt.

Trump made the comment in a post on Truth Social, marking the first time he has publicly addressed the allegations against the SPLC, which was charged earlier this week with multiple counts of wire fraud over its scheme to pay the leaders of multiple white supremacist groups in exchange for information.

“The Southern Poverty Law Center, one of the greatest political scams in American History, has been charged with FRAUD. This is another Democrat Hoax, along with Act Blue, and many others,” Trump wrote. “If it is true, the 2020 Presidential Election should be permanently wiped from the books and be of no further force or effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The SPLC, which started in the 1970s as an organization to push back against racism and segregation in the South, has been paying leaders of extremist groups for decades, according to an indictment unsealed by the Justice Department on Tuesday. The indictment states that the SPLC secretly used donor cash to pay so-called informants affiliated with racist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, over $3 million between 2014 and 2023.

The SPLC is closely aligned with Democratic Party goals and talking points and has a political action fund that almost exclusively endorses Democrats in state and local elections in the South.

Between 2015 and 2023, the SPLC paid a member of a white supremacist group that planned the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, according to the indictment. The rally, which turned deadly when a man drove his car through a crowd of counter protesters, became the main reason behind former President Joe Biden’s 2020 election campaign. Biden pointed to the rally in his campaign announcement video, pinning blame on Trump and saying, “In that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime.”

‘F*cking Idiot’: Starmer Insults Citizens On St. George’s Day, Calls Them ‘Plastic Patriots’

On Thursday, St. George’s Day which celebrates St. George, the patron saint of England Great Britain’s leftist prime minister Keri Starmer took aim at the nationalists who want to take their country back from the wave of immigrants who have inundated their country, calling them “plastic patriots.”

“St George’s flag stands for unity over hatred and decency over division,” Starmer wrote on X. “Those are the values I will always fight for. Some try to hijack our flag to spread hate, I reject their plastic patriotism.”

“It’s deeply insulting, of course, his attitude today, but we’ve got used to that. I think all we can do now is sit tight and look forward to his demise, which will be inglorious, which will be catastrophic, and which will send him off into ignominity, hopefully,” former Met Police detective Peter Bleksley said.

After a young man of Rwandan descent knifed to death three young girls, ages 6,8, and 9, in Southport, England, on July 29, 2024, and anti-immigration demonstrations were mounted from Liverpool, England, to Belfast, Ireland, Starmer condemned the protesters, calling the actions “far-right thuggery we have seen this weekend.”

Yet in 2020, Starmer had a quite different reaction to the Black Lives Matter riots in the United States, saying, “Like you, I was shocked and angered at the killing of George Floyd. And the response of President Trump and the U.S. authorities to the peaceful protests, to people rightly demanding justice, has been an affront to humanity. The last week has shone a spotlight on the racism, discrimination and the injustice experienced by those from black and minority ethnic communities in the U.S., in the UK, and around the world. Martin Luther King said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’”

2-year-old steals show at White House as Trump spotlights ‘miracle cure’ for deaf boy

During an event at the White House on Thursday, President Donald Trump highlighted a 2-year-old boy, Travis Smith, who was born deaf but can now hear after taking a “miracle cure.”

The child can now “hear his mom, Sierra, say, ‘I love you,’” the president said, inviting the mother to speak.

“Regeneron works miracles,” the woman said, referring to the company behind the treatment.

“He didn’t know his name. He couldn’t hear me tell him how much I love him. And now with Regeneron and this amazing surgery, he can listen to music. And he loves it. And he loves to dance,” she said.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given accelerated approval for Regeneron’s Otarmeni gene therapy product, the company said in a statement.

The company indicated that the treatment will be made available for free in the U.S.

“Regeneron will provide Otarmeni at no cost to clinically eligible individuals in the U.S. This may not necessarily reflect out-of-pocket costs for administration of this free therapy, which would be outside of the control of Regeneron; individuals should consult with their healthcare provider and/or insurance provider,” the company said.

Administering the treatment involves surgery, according to the company.

Have a great day!
