Trump orders a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump said the U.S. Navy will begin a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and interdict vessels that have paid a toll to Iran, after U.S. peace talks with Tehran ended in a stalemate.

“Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “At some point, we will reach an ‘ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT’ basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen… THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION.”

He said the U.S. would deny safe passage to vessels that paid the toll and begin clearing mines.

"I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in international waters that has paid a toll to Iran," he wrote. "No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage… We will also begin destroying the mines… Any Iranian who fires at us… will be BLOWN TO HELL!"

Eric Swalwell Recorded Sexual Assault Denial at Mansion of Donor Engaged to ‘Honeytrapper’

The New York Post reported Saturday that sources confirmed to the outlet that Swalwell’s video was taped in a room of a home belonging to Stephen Cloobeck, one of the Democrat’s benefactors, in Beverly Hills.

“These allegations of sexual assault are flat false,” Swalwell claimed in the video, adding that they are coming on the eve of an election wherein he is running for governor of California.

“I do not suggest to you in any way that I am perfect or that I am a saint. I have certainly made mistakes in judgment in my past, but those mistakes are between me and my wife, and to her I apologize deeply for putting her in this position. I also apologize to you if in any way you have doubted your support for me,”

Manhattan District Attorney’s Office Investigating Rep. Eric Swalwell Over Sexual Assault Accusations

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is investigating Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) after multiple women alleged he sexually assaulted them, according to a report.

Manhattan DA’s Office called for “survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations” to come forward and contact the office’s Special Victims Division.

“We urge survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division at 212-335-9373,” the office said. “Our specially trained prosecutors, investigators and counselors are well-equipped to help you in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered manner.”

Rudy Giuliani is sharply criticizing New York City politics and Mayor Zohran Mamdani, arguing that the city he once led is moving away from the reforms and identity he fought to build during his tenure as mayor.

Speaking in on “Pod Force One”, Giuliani said his reaction to the current direction of the city is emotional and personal, describing it as “heartbroken” and rooted in decades of attachment to New York.

He added that his connection to the city goes beyond politics. “A lot of people love New York, but nobody loves it more than I do,” he said, pointing to his lifelong identity as a fan of the Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers as part of that bond.

Giuliani, who served as mayor from 1994 to 2001 and is widely credited with a major drop in crime during that period, said he believes the city is now in decline under its current leadership.

“I just think New York is potentially the greatest city on Earth and has been,” he said. “And what he’s doing to it … I didn’t think it could get worse than de Blasio. I really didn’t. I thought, well, that’s it. Now he had the worst mayor. Wow.”

Giuliani then escalated his criticism, framing Mamdani’s politics as part of a broader ideological threat. “He combines two things that I have been studying and fighting against since I was a child,” Giuliani said. “He’s a communist and he’s a violent supporter of violent Muslim religion.”

NYT Journo Admits He Was ‘Torn’ On Rooting For U.S. In Iran War

President Donald Trump and a number in his administration have suggested that Democrats and media were actively rooting for the United States to lose the war with Iran and one New York Times columnist gave a striking example of that during a Saturday interview on CNN.

Foreign affairs columnist Thomas Friedman admitted that he felt torn over fully backing the United States in the ongoing Operation Epic Fury, saying that he wanted the Iranian regime to fall but that he wasn’t sure it was worth the cost of elevating President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Friedman told CNN host Michael Smerconish that he was all for the end of the Iranian regime, but that it was the likelihood the credit and with that credit, political capital would go to Trump and Netanyahu that gave him pause.

“I find myself, Michael, in a situation where I really want to see Iran defeated militarily because this regime is a terrible regime for the people and the region,” he explained, saying that the best thing for the Iranian people and for the region across the board would be a regime change that resulted in leadership that allowed the people to flourish and thrive.

“I’m all for that. The problem is I really don’t want to see Bibi Netanyahu or Donald Trump politically strengthened by this war because they are two awful human beings,” Friedman continued. “They are both engaged in anti-democratic projects in their own countries. They’re both alleged crooks. They are terrible, terrible people doing terrible things to America’s standing in the world and Israel’s standing in the world.”

“And so I really find myself torn,” Friedman concluded, saying that he was trying to balance his support for a new regime in Iran against his fears that Trump or Netanyahu might get a share of the credit for helping to bring that about.

Republicans Set For Major Showdown On Law That Haunted Trump’s First Admin

A law that became the subject of scrutiny following surveillance on 2016 Trump campaign aide Carter Page is up for renewal with an April 20 deadline, and the debate is creating unusual battle lines.

The debate centers on whether reforms should be made to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Section 702, or if there should be a “clean” extension of the law. FISA allows for the federal government to gather foreign intelligence, but some critics have warned that it opens the door for Americans to be spied on in the process.

President Donald Trump is asking for a “clean 18-month” extension of the law, saying that it is an “effective tool to keep Americans safe” when “used properly.” He noted that “whether you like FISA or not, it is extremely important to our Military,” noting it could be useful during the ongoing military operation in Iran.

“HOWEVER, the Critical and Common Sense Reforms that were made in the last Reauthorization of FISA must remain intact to protect the American People from abuses,” Trump posted to Truth Social on March 25.
