Speaking from the White House on Thursday, Trump accused China of “the largest compromise of election data in history,” alleging Beijing illicitly obtained information from roughly 220 million American voter files during the 2020 election cycle. The Chinese Communist Party quickly denied the charges, while China-watchers in the United States questioned if the relationship between Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping has been shattered.

“China has all along adhered to the principle of non-interference in others’ internal affairs,” Chinese Embassy spokesman Liu Chang said in a statement. “The U.S. election is an internal matter of the U.S. Its outcome is determined by the votes of the American people. China has never and will never interfere in the presidential elections of the U.S.”

Eight Dems, Including A Logger And Transgender Songwriter, Face Off In Maine Senate Debate

Eight Democrats took the debate stage in Maine on Thursday, making their final pitches just days before 601 delegates decide who will replace former Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner.

News Center Maine, the debate host, split the candidates into two sessions. Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, former Maine Senate President Troy Jackson, former Maine CDC Director Nirav Shah, and former congressional candidate Jordan Wood participated in the first hour. The second featured David Costello, Dan Kleban, Elizabeth Dickerson, and Ashley Webb.

Bellows was the first candidate to address voters. She touted her career in public service and highlighted her past clashes with President Donald Trump.

“When Donald Trump came for your voter data, I said hell no go jump into the gulf of Maine,” she said.

Transgender-identifying man Ashley Webb said his background as a songwriter and author prepared him for office, but said his greatest qualification was that he was an angry citizen who would become an angry senator if elected, which he said would be Republicans’ worst nightmare.

Dickerson framed her candidacy around combating climate change. Costello highlighted his 27-year government career, arguing it wold help him repair America’s “broken” democracy and economy. Kleban emphasized his background as a Maine bar owner, pitching himself as part of the new generation of leadership.

Over the course of the debate, all the candidates were aligned on issues such as abolishing or reforming ICE, “standing up to Trump,” and Medicare for All.

Prediction Market giant, Kalshi, currently lists Jackson as the frontrunner to become the Democratic nominee. Traders give him a 74% chance of winning, followed by Bellows at 13%, and Shah at 11%.

Conservatives unite around SAVE America Act after Trump declassifies ‘shocking’ election intel

Conservatives rallied around President Donald Trump online after he doubled down on calls for lawmakers to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, citing alarming election integrity vulnerabilities he said his administration had discovered.

“Thank you, Mr. President,” Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., wrote on social media.

“We are going to lose our country if we don’t pass the dadgum SAVE America Act. Call your senator and tell them to save our great nation.”

Trump promised a series of disclosures on the discovered weaknesses.

“Tonight, I’m announcing the immediate declassification and release of critical intelligence, revealing shocking vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure,” Trump said.

In particular, the president said those new documents would focus on a handful of key allegations, including foreign data theft carried out by China, that members of the U.S. government had known about election vulnerabilities, that Americans had been misled for years about those weaknesses and new evidence of “election fraud.”

Fox News Digital could not independently verify the content of the documents that were released by the White House.

To address them, Trump called on lawmakers to pass the SAVE Act a bill that, among other provisions, would require proof of citizenship to participate in federal elections.

“I ask you to pick up your phone tomorrow, call your representatives in the House and Senate, and demand that they pass the Save America Act without delay. Together, we will restore faith and confidence in our country, and we will be bigger, better and stronger than ever before,” Trump said.

State Department fires back after Walz doubles down on pardon of convicted child rapist

After Democrat Tim Walz doubled down on his move to pardon a foreign child rapist prior to his deportation, the State Department took another swing at the Minnesota governor in an escalating back-and-forth.

The Minnesota Board of Pardons, comprised of Walz, state Attorney General Keith Ellison and state Chief Justice Natalie Hudson, granted clemency to Laotian national Tou Lue Vang, 42, on June 10. Vang was scheduled to be deported from the United States before the pardon.

“Governor Walz’s pardon of a convicted foreign sex offender was a grave and unconscionable betrayal of the very people he is supposed to defend,” State Department Assistant Secretary Dylan Johnson said

“Walz’s plot to sacrifice the safety of Americans on the altar of open borders was thwarted by Secretary Rubio. Now this foreign criminal will never harm another American,” he continued.

Vang was convicted for repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl between 2002 and 2004, and told authorities after he was arrested that “it is a cultural thing... to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio revoked Vang’s visa earlier this month, and he was deported back to Laos.

Walz defended the clemency move in a Tuesday press conference, contending that deportation of a convicted child rapist did not make the U.S. safer.

“Did that make us any safer?” Walz questioned. “Did that make the children that are left behind any more stable? Did it improve the idea that we can’t all be judged by our worst day?”

Upon last week’s announcement that the State Department had skirted Walz’s pardon and deported Vang anyway, Rubio scolded Walz for granting Vang clemency in the first place.

“Americans should never have to live in fear that foreign sex predators shielded from deportation by their own elected officials could endanger them or their children,” he said

“That’s why I terminated his legal status in the United States,” he continued. “Vang has now been removed from our country and will never pose a threat to any American ever again.”
