President Donald Trump told ICE to resume vehicle stops after the agency paused the practice in the wake of multiple deadly shootings.
Trump said in a Wednesday morning Truth Social post that the stops were necessary to implement his mass deportation agenda. He added that giving up the vehicle stops, where many immigration arrests are made, played right into the hands of the “radical Left.”

“The Open Border Policy of Sleepy Joe Biden allowed 25,000,000 people to pour into our Country, unchecked and unvetted,” the president said. “Many were Criminals, and we have to get them out. In order to do this, we must be strong, tough, and smart, and we CANNOT give up one of I.C.E.’s most important and effective Crime Fighting tools, THE TRAFFIC STOP! Once we do, we are playing right into the criminal’s hands.”
Trump then said ICE should continue making vehicle stops and called for more arrests.
Trump: We ‘Completed’ Goals in Iran, Strikes Will ‘Continue’, Not Sure They’ll Make Deal, Deal Is How War Ends
During a portion of an interview aired on Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” President Donald Trump said that the objectives of ensuring Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon, keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, and degrading Iran’s military are “completed” and strikes on Iran will “continue until I say that’s enough.”
Trey Yingst asked, “So, your objectives are to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon, to keep the Strait open, and to degrade the Iranian military. Can those objectives be completed in an air campaign alone or does this require a ground component?”
Trump responded, “I think they’re completed now, honestly. If we left right now, it would take them 20 years to rebuild what they have. The only way you can negotiate with these people is through strength, and the only strength is military strength, and that’s what we’ve done. And, literally, two days ago, we had a deal, and then they broke it at the last moment. They broke it.”

House Passes Bill to Make Daylight Savings Time Permanent
The U.S. House passed a bill on Tuesday that would make daylight savings time permanent, effectively ending the biannual clock changes.
The Sunshine Protection Act of 2025 passed the U.S. House 308-117, with 22 Republicans and 95 Democrats voting against. President Trump has expressed support for the bill, which now heads to the U.S. Senate, where it will face opposition from both parties for reasons pertaining to school start times, sunrises, and effects on circadian rhythms.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said the bill “is so important in that Hundreds of Millions of Dollars are spent every year by people, Cities, and States, being forced to change their Clocks.”
“I am going to work very hard to see The Sunshine Protection Act signed into Law. It’s time that people can stop worrying about the ‘Clock,’ not to mention all of the work and money that is spent on this ridiculous, twice yearly production. It will also be a very nice WIN for the Republican Party. Take it!” Trump added.
Tim Walz becomes GOP punchline in sweeping new war on welfare fraud
Senate Republicans are naming the centerpiece of a 12-figure anti-fraud package after Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, arguing his administration’s handling of massive welfare fraud schemes made him the symbol of government waste they hope to eliminate.
Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa., is dropping the legislation just as fraud-exposing journalists, such as Nick Shirley, testify to the Homeland Security Committee about videotaped discoveries in the “Feeding Our Futures” scandal in Minnesota and other similar alleged rackets elsewhere on Wednesday.
The “Welfare Abuse and Laundering Zillions (WALZ) Act” from Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., is at the core of the broader anti-fraud package targeting Minnesota-style violations, COVID fraud, foreign remittance abuse and repeat offenders; projected to save taxpayers roughly $240 billion

The WALZ Act requires federal payments be made as reimbursements to states only after a service is proven to have been provided – a process critics say Minnesota failed to police adequately.
It also requires that if a state program receiving federal funding sees a six-month increase in disbursements of more than 10 percent, the HHS inspector general must investigate that program.
Mamdani’s NYC Moves To Quickly Demolish Historic Church Burned In Suspected Arson Attack
The FDNY believes the fire that burned a Brooklyn church built in 1853 was intentionally set, and New York City officials began the demolition of the building on Tuesday despite the congregation’s objections.
After flames engulfed the South Bushwick Reformed Church, an active congregation, on June 19, church engineers said that the building required only a partial demolition, but the NYC Department of Buildings pushed for a full demolition, originally scheduling it for August. Now, the Department of Buildings, headed by Ahmed Tigani a practicing Muslim is demolishing the historic building this week, according to Brownstoner.
During a Zoom meeting on Monday, which included representatives from the Department of Buildings, the church, and others, the city said demolition would begin this week. City officials have maintained that the church’s engineers never provided a plan to “safely stabilize the structure” that would allow a partial demolition instead of a full teardown. Dina Alfano of the Bushwick Historic Preservation Association, who has worked with the church to save the historic landmark, said the new deadline was impossible to meet.
“That left us basically less than half a day to try to get a team in there to get them the remaining information they needed,” Alfano said. “The long and the short of it is that it just wasn’t possible with the time constraints to get them what they wanted.”
New ‘Lord of the Rings’ Director Rejects ‘Politically Correct’ Casting
Andy Serkis said his upcoming “Lord of the Rings” film will not embrace “politically correct” casting, saying he won’t prioritize diversity for its own sake.
Speaking to the BBC, Serkis, who is directing “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum” and portrayed Gollum in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy, said J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world was inspired by Norse mythology and that diversity would be included only “where relevant.”
Serkis said Tolkien’s depiction of the Shire reflects its inspiration in Northern European folklore.
“The Shire feels very, very much like a very, a very white, you know …” he said, trailing off before continuing. “They’re not very concerned about what goes on beyond the borders of The Shire, but they know they don’t want people coming in.”
Huge!
