Trump Delivers A Show At State Of The Union

Fortunately for Republicans, Donald Trump is very good at this. Democrats are not.

“How can you not stand for that?” the president said, giving running commentary on his own speech, gesturing toward the sparse but diligently seated Democrats to his right. How hard is it to applaud respectfully for at least some of Trump’s speech as a Democrat?

It shouldn’t be hard at all. Illegal immigrants aren’t the reason you ran for office. Your first priority should be your citizens. You can’t honestly claim that the world isn’t a safer place with a hamstrung Iran nuclear program, a Nicolas Maduro in custody, and a narco regime to our south hemmed in by military forces. All these are policies many Democrats, including Chuck Schumer, claimed to support before in some form. Is it really going to end their career to admit Trump is right about even one thing?

‘How Do You Not Stand?’: The Jaw-Dropping Moments Democrats Remained Seated At SOTU

Congressional Democrats refused to stand during President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night State of the Union address when he asked lawmakers to show support for prioritizing American citizens over illegal immigrants.

“I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle,” Trump said. “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Republican lawmakers stood while Democrats remained seated.

“Isn’t that a shame? You should be ashamed of yourself, not standing up,” Trump said. “That is why I’m also asking you to end deadly sanctuary cities that protect the criminals and enact serious penalties for public officials who block the removal of criminal aliens.”

That moment was one of several throughout the night when Trump confronted Democrat lawmakers for refusing to stand.

Later during his speech, Trump introduced Sage Blair, a Virginia teen who was taken from her parents after they declined to support her “assertion of a male gender identity,” according to a counselor’s testimony. Blair ultimately returned to her parents following a lengthy legal battle.

Trump Salutes American Heroes With Nation’s Highest Honors

President Donald Trump presented six of the nation’s highest honors during his State of the Union address on Tuesday, recognizing acts of military heroism and athletic excellence.

Trump gave the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military award, to Army Chief Warrant Officer Eric Slover, a helicopter pilot wounded during the successful raid that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro. Slover was struck four times by enemy fire while preparing to land his Chinook helicopter at Maduro’s compound.

“Eric steered the Chinook under the cover of night and descended swiftly upon Maduro’s heavily protected military fortress. This was a major military installation protected by thousands of soldiers,” Trump said. “While preparing to land, enemy machine guns fired from every angle. And Eric was hit very badly in the leg and hip, one bullet after another. He absorbed four agonizing shots, shredding his leg into numerous pieces.”

Trump also awarded the Medal of Honor to 100-year-old naval aviator Royce Williams, who fought in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam, flying more than 200 combat missions.

“In 1952, Royce was in the dogfight of a lifetime,” Trump said of an encounter during the Korean War. “Flying through blizzard conditions, his squadron was ambushed by seven Soviet fighter planes. It was his first aerial combat of the war, and despite being massively outnumbered and outgunned, Royce led the takedown of four enemy jets and almost destroyed the others, vanquishing his adversaries while taking 263 bullets to his own plane and being seriously hurt. His story was secret for over 50 years. He didn’t even want to tell his wife, but the legend grew and grew.”

Trump awarded the Purple Heart to Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, a National Guardsman who was seriously wounded in a shooting attack in Washington, D.C., before Thanksgiving. He also presented a Purple Heart to the family of Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, a National Guard soldier who was killed in the same attack.

“With God’s help, Andrew has battled back from the edge of death,” Trump said. “He’s got a little work to do, but he’s doing great.”

The man suspected of attacking them was an Afghan national who was let into the country after former President Joe Biden withdrew American forces from Afghanistan.

Another Legal Victory For Trump In The Fight To Defend American Soil

A federal appeals court on Tuesday allowed the Trump administration to continue a policy that permits the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to share certain taxpayer address information with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for criminal investigations.

Immigration advocacy groups had sought a preliminary injunction to block the policy, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit affirmed a lower court’s decision denying that request.

The dispute began in early 2025 after reports that ICE was seeking the last known addresses of roughly 700,000 undocumented immigrants from the IRS. On April 7, 2025, the IRS and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) formalized the arrangement in a Memorandum of Understanding outlining how ICE could request address information under federal law.

The agreement relies on a provision of federal tax law that allows the IRS to share certain information for non-tax criminal investigations.

Historically, the IRS had interpreted the law as prohibiting the disclosure of mailing addresses by themselves. The new agreement reversed that position, allowing the IRS to provide a taxpayer’s last known address if ICE submitted a valid request related to a non-tax criminal investigation.

As a result, the April 7, 2025, Memorandum of Understanding allowing ICE to request last-known taxpayer addresses remains in effect while the case proceeds. A preliminary injunction would have temporarily blocked the policy, but the court declined to grant one.

Trump Won over CNN Viewers, Contradicting Network’s Own Abby Phillip’s Post-Speech Grading

A CNN Instant Poll taken in the immediate aftermath confirmed that fact with some 64 percent of those polled affirming Trump is moving the country in the right direction.

Pre-speech only 54 percent of watchers said he was moving the country to their liking such was the impact of his words and deeds.

In all Trump broke his own record for a president’s longest-ever State of the Union speech at 108 minutes on Tuesday night

Robert De Niro Calls Trump ‘The Enemy of This Country,’ Urges Americans to ‘Resist’: ‘It’s Up to Us to Get Rid of Him’

Actor Robert De Niro called President Donald Trump “the enemy of this country,” and urged Americans to “resist” the president who won the 2024 election in a landslide victory, proclaiming, “It’s up to us to get rid of him.”

“The story is our country, and Trump is destroying it, and who knows what his reasons are, but it’s sick, it’s fucked up,” De Niro said during Monday’s episode of the The Best People With Nicolle Wallace podcast.

“We have to save the country,” the Raging Bull star continued, before declaring, “Trump is the enemy of this country,” adding, “Let’s not kid ourselves. It’s that simple. Everybody has to stick together to get them out and get back on track.”

“People have to resist, resist, resist, resist, resist. That’s the only way,” De Niro said.

Crazy Lib.

U.S. Attorney Pirro’s Office Halts Case Against Democrats Who Encouraged Military Disobedience

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro’s office is allegedly halting a case against several Democrats who took part in a video and encouraged military members to disobey orders, according to a report.

“Three people familiar with the matter” reportedly told NBC News that Pirro’s office “decided to stop pursuing the case” against Sens. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ), and Reps. Chris Deluzio (D-PA), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), and Jason Crow (D-CO).

The decision reportedly comes after a “federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., unanimously rejected an attempt by Pirro” to have the Democrat lawmakers indicted for their roles in a video in which they encouraged military members to disobey orders, according to the outlet:

Roughly two weeks ago, as first reported by NBC News, a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., unanimously rejected an attempt by Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, to indict lawmakers over the video, illustrating that grand jurors didn’t think the government had passed even the low legal threshold of probable cause required to bring an indictment.

While a potential case against the six lawmakers is now considered dead in Washington, that decision wouldn’t necessarily bar a federal prosecutor from trying to bring a case in a different federal court district, though there have been no public indications that will happen.

Sad.

We need to hold them accountable!
